Getting to Red Carpet Ready is easy. We offer free on-site parking, making it easy and stress-free if you’re arriving by car. If you’re travelling by train, the nearest station is Lincoln Central, just a short 8-minute taxi ride away. However you choose to travel, you’ll be joining thousands of others who make the journey every year to find their dream dress!
Yes! We make finding your dream dress as affordable & simple as possible for you. You can either pay in full at the time of purchase or secure your gown with just a small deposit, paying the rest of the balance at a later date. We are very flexible & accommodating. This means you’ll never have to worry about missing out on the perfect dress while you finalise your payments.
You can pay for your dress in full in-store or online after you’ve decided, or you can secure it with a small deposit & pay the remaining balance later.
Our Prom/Event Promise means we won’t sell the same dress to the same school, not even in a different colour. Once you’ve bought or placed a deposit on your gown, we won’t even let anyone else try this on from your school or event for that year. This promise applies to both in-store and online purchases, giving you complete confidence that your look will be yours alone on the night.
If you want to go one further & buy from our RCR Exclusives Collection, no other shops sell these dresses UK-wide. This is our number 1 bestselling collection in-store & is very competitively priced.
Our Prom Promise means we won’t sell the same dress to the same school, not even in a different colour – so once that particular style has gone, it’s gone for that year or event. So as always, we advise booking in as early as possible for the best choice.
We have 2 free on-site car parks, making it easy and stress-free if you’re arriving by car. No need to worry about finding or paying for parking!
We normally launch our prom collections early August & become fully booked very quickly despite being open 7 days a week until 9pm, so we recommend beginning your search as early as possible. Shopping early secures your dress, meaning that no one else from your school or event can purchase that item again. This will give you the best & widest choice of styles & colours, before dresses start to be sold out for your school or event.
It also ensures plenty of time for any alterations, accessories, and the perfect finishing touches.
However, if you can’t make it to us around the time of our new collection launch, we’ll still have the UK’s best choice of options for you when you arrive, including thousands of items in-stock & available to take away the same day.
We are cashless business, so only take card payments. We accept most major debit and credit cards, including Visa & Mastercard. Please note that we do not accept American Express. Whether you choose to pay in full or secure your dress with our flexible deposit option, we’ll make sure the process is smooth and effortless so you can focus on the excitement of your dream dress journey.

All Year Round Sale Area that is restocked every week. Although we always recommend shopping as early as possible for the best choice, particularly for prom, we have hundreds of amazing dresses in stock, ready to take home the same day. Whether your event is just around the corner or have a last-minute dress disaster, our expert stylists will help you find and walk away with the perfect dress the very same day.
No, we do don’t – however, we do have an All Year Round Sale Area with dresses from £50 & offer payment plans, making everything affordable for you, alongside extremely good quality dresses. We decided not to go down a rental route, because in most cases these dresses are worn & in poor condition, so would not be up to the quality standard that we deliver. Plus, most dresses require an alteration to give you the right fit & look, which is not possible with a rental dress.

To make the most of your Red Carpet Ready Experience, all you really need to bring is yourself & a parent (if you’re under 18). However, for those wish to be slightly more prepared, we recommend bringing:
- Inspiration – we encourage you to screenshot your favourite dresses, styles or colours from our website or social media that you wish to try on during your appointment, so your stylist can bring these to you during your appointment.
- Nude or strapless bra (optional) to help you see the perfect fit and silhouette.
- Sticky bra
- A parent or guardian (essential if you are under 18)
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must be with you during your appointment to help you make a decision & sign our terms & conditions when buying your dress. This is a policy that many other prom & eveningwear shops also have.
During our peak season, we are open 9am-9pm 7 days a week! We understand that people are busy with schools or work, so we offer late night shopping & weekend appointments to accommodate as well as daytime slots. You must pre-book your appointment on 01522 793777.

You can bring as many as you want, but we can only guarantee seating for three guests. We find that keeping your party small helps create a relaxed, personal, and enjoyable experience where all the focus is on you and your dream dress. This way, you’ll have the space to explore, try on, and fall in love with your perfect gown without the bustle of a large group.
Yes absolutely! We love it when dads join in the experience. Many enjoy seeing the special moment their daughter finds “the one” and sharing in the excitement of the day. Whether they’re there to offer advice, take photos, or simply enjoy the atmosphere & the music, dads are always welcome at Red Carpet Ready.

You will have a luxury changing room for up for 1.5 hours which means you are not rushed or pressurised, so have all the time you need to choose your dream dress.

Whilst we stock lots of different brands, we always recommend to buy from the RCR Exclusives Collection, as unlike other collections, these are the dresses we design & are not sold anywhere else in the UK. Beware, as other brands may be sold at other shops & the last thing you want is someone turning up in the same dress on prom night! This is why our RCR Exclusives Collection is our bestselling brand.

Yes of course! You will have an hour and a half to try on as many dresses as you like. Your stylist will be with you to assist with this, & can also make suggestions and give advice if desired to ensure you walk away totally confident in your dream dress.
Our shopping venue comprises of grade 2 listed buildings. When you book, please advise us that you require disable access & we will accommodate you in an appropriate area.
Please try to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment begins. This gives us time to welcome you, get you checked in, and help you settle in before your appointment begins.
Yes, there are many hotels & places to stay within easy reach of us. Lincoln is a fantastic city with lots to offer & you will really enjoy your stay.
The nearest train station is Lincoln Central, located just 8 minutes from our venue by taxi. You can take an Uber or taxi from outside the station to us – it’s really easy to reach us!
Please do not bring shoes to the appointment – we provide padded stools to stand on, which are much more comfortable when trying on lots of dresses. This will help visualise how the dress falls as if she were wearing heels.
Yes. If the dress is in stock and ready to go, you can take it home the very same day and leave with your dream dress in hand.
If your product is in stock but you are not in a position to take it away the same day, no problem, we will store this for you & agree a date that you wish to receive it. We will then courier your item out to you. We make everything easy & simple!

If your chosen dress is in stock and ready to go, you can take it home the very same day and walk out with your gown in hand.
If your chosen style needs to be ordered in, for example, in a different size or colour, your stylist will confirm the estimated arrival date during your appointment. This information will also be clearly detailed on both your receipt and email confirmation for your peace of mind.

Due to the special nature of prom and eveningwear, we’re unable to accept returns or exchanges. Special orders are made to order. You will find that this is a standard process that most prom & eveningwear shops follow.
During your appointment, you can try on as many dresses as you like to make sure you are happy with your choice & size selection.
Alternatively, if you are placing an order by phone, everything is consulted & agreed with you over the phone regarding size to make sure you are choosing the right item for you.
