Making Dreams Come True With a VIP Experience

As proud winners of Prom Queen Divas on Channel 5 and Start Up Business of the Year at the Lincolnshire Business Awards in 2016, we are known all over the UK as being the best dress specialists.

We are dedicated to ensuring that girls leave with their dream Prom dress with our passionate Personal Stylists who guide every girl through their magical experience at Red Carpet Ready.

That’s why CEO and owner Kirsty Gale was so touched to hear Lauren Cooper’s story and invited her to Red Carpet Ready for the VIP treatment she deserved and to let Lauren pick her dream dress for free!

Lauren suffers from Cystic Hygroma

Lauren was born with Cystic Hygroma, a rare lymphatic malformation that affects the right side of her face, neck, tongue and floor of her mouth.

It can affect her facial movements and her ability to eat and sleep, causing her frequent pain.

So, when she visited us, we made sure to sweep her off her feet with expert help from her Personal Red Carpet Ready Stylist Sammy and an assortment of dazzling dresses to pick from our showrooms.

She even had her own iconic, personalised balloon!

Reflecting on the day

Lauren said she thoroughly enjoyed her VIP experience.

“Everyone was so nice and helped me find the dress that I’ll wear to my Prom. It wasn’t the dress that I expected to get.”

“My stylist Sammy was so helpful with giving me advice; I can’t wait to wear it to Prom!” she said.

Lauren’s mum also reflected on their experience.

“We have had a brilliant time, and Red Carpet Ready is great. I can’t believe there’s Hollywood glamour this close to home in Lincoln; it’s been fabulous.”

“The staff are great with loads of ideas and a great sense of humour. We’ve had a great time!”

“It’s been great to invite her into the store and hopefully make her Prom night even more,” said Kirsty, Founder of Red Carpet Ready.

An inspiration

Lauren is such an inspirational girl and not just because of her condition. She has a passion for science, following in her father’s footsteps, who sadly passed away in 2019.

She has taken Triple Science for her GSCE’s and plans to go into further education, working with medicine.

Since 2005, she has been cared for by The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and The Great Ormond Street Hospital, and now volunteers at Great Ormond Street’s Young Person’s Forum.

She embraces her natural beauty and intends to be the belle of the ball at William Farr School Prom.

Charities and organisations

There are several UK based charities where you can read more about Cystic Hygroma and donate.

The Great Ormond Street Hospital charity is always looking for support to fund and help children with complex medical issues.
